Emma Thompson Donates Black Prada Jacket For Clothes Recycling Campaign
Academy Award-winning British actress, comedian, and screenwriter Emma Thompson is among several celebrities who will be re-styled and given a new lease of life in a clothes recycling campaign.
Camden Council’s (located in the UK) ‘From bin bags to glad rags’ campaign will offer residents lessons in sewing and needlework, and show how old clothes can be reused. Designers from a green charity, TRAID (Textile Recycling for Aid and International Development), will reuse Thompson’s black Prada jacket, and a cap from Scott’s film Robin Hood. The day-long event is part of the council’s goal to fight climate change.
Other celebrities endorsing the campaign are Terry Gilliam and Ridley Scott as well as comedians Julian Clary, who donated a Christian Lacroix shirt and Victoria Wood, who gave her jumper.

Nicole Kidman Wears Prada At The 2009 CMA Awards
Nicole Kidman wears a pink Prada dress as she came out to support her country superstar husband Keith Urban at the 2009 CMA Awards at the Sommet Center yesterday (Wednesday, November 11) in Nashville, Tennessee. The tight-fitting magenta number gave the usually flat-chested star quite a boost. It was floor-length, and decorated with floral embroidery; she finished off the outfit with a pair of sand-colored peep toe heels and a silver purse.

The Prada Book
Prada recently unveiled a 706-page book that’s simply titled “Prada”, that highlights the fashion house’s 30 years of experiments and innovations in fashion, art, architecture, cinema and communications.
Patrizio Bertelli, chief executive officer of Prada Group, said: “For Prada, fashion, luxury and style go beyond producing an infinity of clothes and shoes, so the book wants to illustrate the various aspects through which Prada expresses itself.”
The book is published by Prada Progetto Arte and will be sold for 100 euros (approximately US$150) in Prada stores worldwide, in select bookstores and on prada.com.
